Fancy Me Yet, a Miami-based trio, took home the gold for Generation Y. Probably the most polished band competing at the festival, FMY seems destined for big things. Lead singer Natasha Jeannette Duenas, formerly known as Latin-pop superstar JD Natasha, has been nominated for three Latin Grammys before eschewing her big time label for her indie rock outfit. Now, with over a quarter million hits on their MySpace page and a pretty big official fansite, Fancy Me Yet is taking off, with winning the X & Y Fest being the first step toward stardom.
